"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." - Exodus 14:14
When Pharaoh saw that the Israelites had left Egypt, his heart hardened and he followed them with his mighty army. The Israelites were terrified. It was at this time that the promise of the Lord came through Moses, Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see them again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. And indeed the Lord fought for His children. He made the wheels of the chariots come off and the whole army of Egyptians drowned in the sea. In another incident, when the Amorites came against Joshua and the Israelites, the Lord hurled large hailstones down on them from the sky. The people who were killed by hailstones were more than those who were killed by Israelites. Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israelites: Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon. (Joshua 10: 12) Accordingly, the sun stood still and the moon stopped till the entire nation triumphed over its enemies. The Bible records many such incidents in which the Lord fought for the children of Israel. In each case, the Lord did supernatural things which caused the enemies to be routed completely.
Dear friends, commit your battles into the hands of God. He is Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of hosts; He will fight for you. All you need to do is to stand still and see His power in defeating your enemies.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, when Satan, my enemy, comes against me threatening to destroy me, let me not panic but look unto You. You are the Lord of hosts and You will fight the battle for me and conquer my enemy. Thank You for Your power and might. Amen.
