OUR GOD IS THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

Read: Jeremiah 32: 17-20

“For nothing is impossible with God.” - (Luke 1:37)

A believer’s path is often crowded by difficulties and trials.  Obstacles and oppositions meet him at almost every turn.  He scarcely knows what to do at such times, and is completely baffled when he feels that his way is hedged up with thorns!  Look whichever way he will, there is something to discourage him.  It is no use looking any way or to anyone - but to the Lord, “For nothing is impossible with God.” (Luke 1: 37)  There is no impossibilities with God.  He can do and He will do all that He has promised.  With Him, who called the world into being and formed it out of nothing, everything is possible.  Absolutely, nothing is too hard for Him.  There is no sin too black and bad to be pardoned.  The blood of Christ cleanses from all sin.  There is no heart too hard and wicked to be changed.  The heart of stone can be made a heart of flesh.  There is no work too hard for a believer to do.  We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  There is no difficulty too great for a believer to overcome. When God is for us, then who can be against us?  The mountain will become  plain!

Dear friends, questions and doubts will often arise in our mind regarding God’s promises.  They are the natural result of the fallen nature of our soul.  Our faith is at the best very feeble.  But let us keep this truth always in mind, ‘With God nothing is impossible.’  Therefore, let us cheer up, press on, let us strengthen our faith and let us expect great things from God.  If God is with us, then we are always on the winning side.  So let us be encouraged - we have a future and a hope because of God’s great power and His sure promises.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, let me look at Your power and grace, at Your wisdom and strength, at Your love and compassion, at Your greatness and glory, and declare confidently, “Nothing is impossible with God.”  Let me not be alarmed or terrified, for when You are with me I am a winner always. Amen.
