Friday, March 28 || JUDGMENT IS CERTAIN

Read : Revelation 20:11-15

“... Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged. ...” - John 5:24

The Bible very clearly says that judgment is a definite event which every human being has to face after his death. Hebrews 9:27 says, “A man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” II Corinthians 5:10 says, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due to him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” Colossians 3:25 says, “Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.” Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself has said, “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.” (Revelation 22:12)

Revelation 20:11-15 describes the judgment scene as follows - There will a great white throne and Jesus Christ will be seated on it. All the dead, both great and small, will be standing before the throne. The book of life will be opened. The dead will be judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. If anyone’s name is not written in the book of life, he will be thrown into the lake of fire. So let us be warned. Let us not harden our hearts and shut our ears. If we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we will not be condemned. (Roman 8:1) But if we deliberately keep on sinning even after we have received the knowledge of the truth, only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire will consume us. So let us repent, draw near the Cross and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus our Savior.
